If you are experiencing painful vaginal itching, it’s important to be aware of what some of the causes may be and learn what you can do about it.

Common irritants – These can include a change in soap, detergent, douches, vaginal creams, vaginal contraceptive products, toilet paper, and feminine hygiene products. If you have made a change in any of these products, it could be the source of the itch.

STD’s – Sexually transmitted disease are also causes of vaginal itching and irritation. It’s important to seek medical treatment if you suspect that your itching may have come from having unprotected sex. Leaving it to chance can only make the problem worse and cause other major health issues.
